Welcome to Book Club Tours - Literary breaks for Book Groups
Book Club Tours offer tailor-made literary tours, cultural tours, historic tours, day trips and short breaks throughout the UK with the emphasis on authors, poets, playwrights, books, plays, poems or film locations. Whether you go by the name of Book Club, Reading Group, Literary Society, Writing Circle or, indeed, if you are just a group of like-minded friends looking for something just a little bit different, we can devise the perfect break for you whether you are UK based or visiting from overseas.
Either choose a literary tour from the wide range we offer and alter it to suit your group - whatever the size - or tell us where you would like to go and which author, poet or playwright interests you. We can then tailor a bespoke tour exactly to your requirements at a surprisingly affordable cost.
Whether your interests lie in Jane Austen novels, Thomas Hardy's Wessex, Inspector Rebus in Edinburgh or The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (Mary Ann Shaffer) we can organise the perfect short break or day trip for your book group or club.
Contact us today by completing the enquiry form or by email enquiries@bookclubtours.co.uk or telephone us on 020 8979 2285 and let's start planning your tour.
In addition to our popular book club tours we also act as ground handlers for overseas and UK school groups, organising cultural and literary tours for students and special interest groups mostly throughout the UK but also to Normandy for the D Day Landings and to Arras and Ypres to study the First World War. The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival 2012
We are in the process of organsing a fantastic weekend break to the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival 2012 at the end of March. Have a look at our Oxford Literary Festival page to see what a splendid time we had last year and to find out about this year's break. There are photos of last year's visit on our Facebook page. Use the button at the top left of this page to navigate there. You don't need to be part of a group to attend this weekend - come alone or with a friend or two and enjoy meeting up with a group of like-minded people.
